Laziness Always Pays Off Now

Yesterday, an explosion occured in Glorietta 2 instantly killing several people and injured several hundreds more. Earlier that day I was planning to have lunch at Yoshinoya, pay my credit card bill, then go to Park Square to buy some PC component.

An hour before lunch, Jasmine decided to have lunch with me instead of her officemates. Cheann also decided to join us for lunch, and tagged Erik along. Because Glorietta is to far from their office, we opted to have lunch near their office, World Topps.

The service at World Topps was unusually slow that time, we waited for more than 20 minutes before they served our orders. By the time we're done eating, it was way past 1PM.

I started walking towards Glorietta then Park Square to get the component. But then I got a bit lazy of the long walk (From PBCOM to Park Square) so decided to return to the condo instead. A few minutes later, I got a text message from Jas telling me not to proceed to Glorietta because there was an explosion.

A few minutes more, Rajah came. His hair was white due to the debris from the explosion. He was at the 3rd floor of Glorietta 2 when the explosion occurred. He's lucky he wasn't harmed.

I'm also lucky enough not to be there that time. I can't imagine what could have happened if I didn't have lunch with Jas, or the food came a few minutes earlier, or I didn't get lazy.

I would have to settle with the Yoshinoya branch in Park Square 1.

At least for now...
But I would really loved to go back... someday. :)

Episode 4: Day 5

Akihabara + Ueno + Roppongi = Overspending + Muscle pains

Went to Akihabara @ 10:30 to
start some pre-shopping activities,
We were supposed to meet up with
Jas and company @ 11:30 in front
of Yoshinoya. I had already bought some
items during my 1-hour scouting... :)

We had lunch @ Yoshinoya...
I had a Sumiyaki bowl. My personal
favorite, too bad they don't have their
special seasoning, which I happen to
like very much... :(

After lunch, we went to several shops
to buy the stuffs we need... or "want"
rather... >:D

2-3 hours of shop-hopping, we lost
Alfred, after 1 hour of searching and
waiting, we decided to move to Ueno
as planned... to buy some chocolates
and other goodies... :)

I was able to buy most items in my list,
I was not able to buy a couple of them
because they were hard to find and
we don't have enough time to shop...

After Ueno, we rushed to Roppongi to
attend the sunday mass at a local chapel.
We came in late and had to stand for
another 30 minutes or so.
After the mass, together with Henrison,
Edong, Renan and Sir Mike to have dinner
at a nearby ramen house.

Then we went to Roppongi Hills Area
to take some pictures, to get wet some
more... oh I forgot to mention that it
was raining all day... Jas' umbrella even
got blown to hard that the plastic cap at
the center of the umbrella
was literally separated from the metal
body, I accidentally punched a hole
through the umbrella while trying
to repair it... sorry again for the damage.

We stayed @ Starbucks for a couple
of minutes and decided to leave since
we were not able to get any seats.

This is the end of this day's adventure,
I took Oedo Line while the rest took
Hibiya Line to return to their respective
hotels/apartments.

Such a tiring day...

I went to Roppongi... 10+ stations away...

need to get ready for the next day's
departure...

isasama ko na yung 15th Yoshinoya...

Sa may Asakusa din to... so 2 yung Yoshinoya
sa Asakusa... one near the front gate... this one
near the east gate...

Aksidente lang namin na discover ito...
We were supposed to meet Paulo, who
is currently on AOTS...

Usapan kasi namin sa Kaminarimon Gate mag-meet,
kaya lang dun pala siya sa East Gate nanggaling...

Nung tinawagan ko siya... sabi niya may nakita daw
siyang Yoshinoya...
Nasa loob ako ng isang phone booth a few meters
away from another Yoshinoya...
We agreed na dun magkita... :)

After a few minutes... wala parin siya...
Dun namin na-realized namin na magkaibang
Yoshinoya pala yung tinutukoy namin... :P

Akihabara Adventures

Kaya hindi na ako nakakapag-post ng maayos...
Inaabot narin ako ng madaling araw dahil
sa mga palabas na yan... :P

na binuksan yung fire exit so I took the chance to

Bumili si Ninya ng stand para sa guitar...

4th Stopover: Nicholai-do

An Orthodox church of Byzantine architecture...
built by St. Nicholai from Russia...









A few minutes after namin pumasok...

Umalis na lang din kami since the
church was closed anyway... :D

After this, we started another long
walk back to Akihabara's Electric Town
to check some stuffs... :D

4 Tourist Spots + 2 Yoshinoya's = 1 Hell of a Day...
