Episode 4: Day 12

Slept around 1:30 and got up around 4:20... :S
Packed my remaining clothes and laptop as well.
Took a quick shower and put on my
clothes for my journey back to Manila.

Took the 5:20 train at Magome
Got off at Sengakuji and took another
ride to Aoto around 5:33.
Finally, took another train to
Narita International Airport at 6:23.

I manage to have some quick naps
along the way and finally arrived at
Narita around 7:41.

After check-in, I got a chance to check
some shops at the airport and unfortunately...
spent another 3058 Yen for Boa's 3rd Album
which I was not able to buy from the last
Akihabara visit... :)

Flight JL742, Seat No. 64K, Upper Deck
Window Side, Front Seat, got quite lucky today.
I just slept for most of the duration of the
flight, I didn't even noticed that the plane
already departed... :)

The movie featured was "Rumor Has It"...
I didn't know that there's a featured movie
on this flight since that last time was just
a recorded NHK feed.
After the movie, I got another set of zzzz's.

When we're about to land, there was
a problem in NAIA, there are several
planes stranded on the ground and
a couple more roaming around the airspace.

We spent another 10 or 15 mins or so
before we actually started our the descend.

After immigration, baggage counter, customs...
a couple of minutes in the waiting area...
and a couple more on the road...
I'm finally home... :)

After a quick unpacking routines...
I took another nap since the wedding reception
is to be held at 7PM... more zzzz's

Episode 4: Day 11

Japanese people are health conscious individuals,
Majority of the foods or even drinks that you
can buy in the market contains a calorie
content label in front of the container so
you could easily see them.

They do a lot of daily "workout" as well...
"work+out" as in "work outside" regular office hours... :P
I wonder how these people are able to keep
up with their lifestyle.

We had dinner with the our Japanese bosses
@ Shuu's House... a chinese restaurant in
Mita area. Never been this full for a long time...

may delay pa yung effect, hindi mo kaagad
mapapansin na may alcohol pala yung gelatin... :|

Anyhow, I still have to get up around 4:45AM
tomorrow to catch my plane back to Manila... :D

Episode 4: Day 10

Just finished my remaining task here,
Tomorrow wala ng gagawin unless there's
a stroke of bad luck na may new bug
na makita or modification request na
maisip yung mga Jap namin...

But the way things are going these past
few days, mukhang magiging masaya
ang last day namin, plus my dinner
party pa... he he... libreng food sa wakas...

Nag-update narin ako sa aking work journal,
after a long time, pinalitan ko narin ng name
kasi masyadong negative yung dating...
Need to have a positive outlook in life... :)

http://sdjofshinji.blogspot.com/

Malapit narin pala akong bumalik ng pinas...
I've been thinking, wondering and day dreaming
a lot these past few days... may nagbabago ba sa akin?

Episode 4: Day 9

Kinapalan ko na yung mukha ko,
tinanong ko na yung Japanese namin
kung pwede na kaming bumalik sa Hotel
since wala na naman kaming urgent
tasks na kailangan tapusin.

Buti naman pumayag, inunahan pa
nga kami ng uwi eh... :|
Pwede naman palang umuwi ng maaga,
ewan ko ba kung bakit kailangan mag-stay
sa office ng late maski wala namang
ginagawa... tsk tsk...

Ano bang problema sa mga tao dito???

Episode 4: Day 8

Nothing much to say about this day...
It's the usual standby for 12 hours and
work for the remaining 2 hours...

Since I still haven't recovered from last
week's lack of sleep, I'm not really that
productive at all, I'm pretty useless
right now... :(

P.S. Just gave my merit rating excel file this
morning... so I'll probably be going to stick
around for a while... :)

Episode 4: Day 7

9:00AM-10:30PM
- Standby sa office, waiting for further instructions,

10:30PM-12:00AM
- Nag-start na mag-test at mag-check ng logs,
we wasted 12 hours waiting for this moment,
umabot sa last train, pwede daw kami mag-taxi,
kaming pera ngayon dahil naubos nga nung weekend,
so pointless diba?
- The 1st time na mag-work yung tinetest namin,

Episode 4: Day 6

Quote of the day:
"Warning: This is a turbulent ride, there are sudden drops and sharp turns..."

Song of the day:
"It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all..."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Disneyland!!! He he...

Arguably the most memorable day of my visits in Japan.

We took several rides, walked around for several hours,
of precipitation... it's our lucky day.

ko dun sa hand rail... he he...

"Kitchen" in Alice (in Wonderland). Almost 2000 Yen for
lunch and another 750 Yen for a Mickey Mouse Teriyaki
Chicken Sandwich for dinner.

After watching an impressive Electric Parade and a short
yet cool fireworks display, I shed another couple of thousands
for Disney souvenirs, I got bankrupt in no time... :(

Umuwi na kami afterwards...
Nakakapagod talaga...

pictures eh... tsaka wala talaga akong time mag-upload... :(

Episode 4: Day 5

Akihabara + Ueno + Roppongi = Overspending + Muscle pains

Went to Akihabara @ 10:30 to
start some pre-shopping activities,
We were supposed to meet up with
Jas and company @ 11:30 in front
of Yoshinoya. I had already bought some
items during my 1-hour scouting... :)

We had lunch @ Yoshinoya...
I had a Sumiyaki bowl. My personal
favorite, too bad they don't have their
special seasoning, which I happen to
like very much... :(

After lunch, we went to several shops
to buy the stuffs we need... or "want"
rather... >:D

2-3 hours of shop-hopping, we lost
Alfred, after 1 hour of searching and
waiting, we decided to move to Ueno
as planned... to buy some chocolates
and other goodies... :)

I was able to buy most items in my list,
I was not able to buy a couple of them
because they were hard to find and
we don't have enough time to shop...

After Ueno, we rushed to Roppongi to
attend the sunday mass at a local chapel.
We came in late and had to stand for
another 30 minutes or so.
After the mass, together with Henrison,
Edong, Renan and Sir Mike to have dinner
at a nearby ramen house.

Then we went to Roppongi Hills Area
to take some pictures, to get wet some
more... oh I forgot to mention that it
was raining all day... Jas' umbrella even
got blown to hard that the plastic cap at
the center of the umbrella
was literally separated from the metal
body, I accidentally punched a hole
through the umbrella while trying
to repair it... sorry again for the damage.

We stayed @ Starbucks for a couple
of minutes and decided to leave since
we were not able to get any seats.

This is the end of this day's adventure,
I took Oedo Line while the rest took
Hibiya Line to return to their respective
hotels/apartments.

Such a tiring day...
Pictures will be posted some other time... :D

Episode 4: Day 4 Part 2

Bakit kung kailan pauwi na ako tsaka
pa may nakikitang bagong bug?

Anyway, buti narin at napansin ko
na kaagad, mas mahirap kung nasa
Manila na bago madiscover yung bug...

Oh well, another sleepless night...
debugging in my dreams...

Episode 4: Day 4

9AM, morning rush hour,
everyone seems to be in a hurry,
most people are running just to get
to their workplaces...

11:30PM, evening rush hour,
still a lot of people in the office,
train is quite full also,
what the hell is this place?

it seems like I've been here for
4 weeks...

Episode 4: Day 3

Wala paring pagbabago...
My eyes are getting tired easily...
Kung makikita niyo lang,
Para na akong may sore eyes.

Tumambay lang kami sa office
ng buong gabi sa kahihintay...
Sabi kasi 11PM pa kami pwedeng
umuwi... tsk tsk...

Still looking forward to not working
this weekend... :)
and Disneyland as well... :D

Episode 4: Day 2

Roughly 6 hours of relatively good sleep...
My eyes hurt like hell... :(
11:30PM pa daw pede umuwi... :|

Hope these people get a life pretty soon...
Nag-salita ang meron... :P

Just had an extended dinner midnight snack,
Soupy Snax and bread... :)

Yushima Shrine Pictures...

One of the temples inside...

It so happen that there's an origami exhibition
in the shrine's compound...
so better get my cam warmed up... :)

I was wondering why they're getting pictures
of this tree... so I tried searching over the internet...

It's a Cherry Blossom (Sakura) tree...

Marble...

A thousand colorful paper cranes...

I really have no idea what they're trying to do...

I saw an old guy taking pictures using this...
It looks weird, but it does work though...

Who needs a tripod if you can't take pictures
from above... while still standing on the ground?

He even showed one of his shots to us... after that...
I took a shot of the other end of his accessory... :P

Camera+Periscope = Cameriscope

This is the real "BOSO" cam... niyehehehe... :P
