How come there's no mention of any Easter chicken or Easter duck?
Rabbits DO NOT lay eggs. But Chicken and ducks DO.
With a little bit of Googling, it turned out that Easter Celebration is an adopted Pagan holiday of the Goddess Eostre who's symbol animal was a hare or rabbit who laid eggs.
