2006 Year-End Report

It has been 3 months since my last entry.

I sure missed writing here,
posting random thoughts,
expressing sentiments,
putting photos from trips and events.

I want to end this year's blog by
reflecting on some of the significant
events that happened to me this year.

With a little more than an hour before
midnight... cramming as usual... :P

Career, family, and relationships were the
important highlights of 2006...

I had a pretty good start this year,
having 3 business trips to Japan,
and 2 more to Cebu. Practically spent my
1st 5 months away from home, and I enjoyed it... >:)

The rest of my working days did not fair
that well, I should say, mainly because
of a bunch of senseless overnights,
long business trip drought,
and my failed attempts to gain
improvements in my current skill set... :(
which even reached to a point where I
started thinking of quitting... :D

Good thing we had formal Nihongo classes
with a really good sensei. It actually gave
me something to focus on. I was able to
take Level 4 of JLPT with such confidence.
A major accomplishment this year... :)

So I give my career a score of 7 out of 10.

-------------------------------------------

Ties with my immediate family were never
that close ever since and it's nowhere getting
to that... it's not even getting better.
People have differences, family members
as well, but if family members can't
accept those differences, it's not going to work.

Some of my relatives hate me because they
can't accept the fact that I can't and wouldn't
follow their tradition, a tradition which I feel
is broken and unnecessary.

Fortunately though, I have a cousin which
understands the situation perfectly and is
open-minded enough to accept change and stand by it.
At least I don't feel alone anymore.

My relationship with my father had never
been this worse, I have "always" been in conflict
with him in any aspect... "always".
Recently, he started reminding me not to waste my
time and skills, almost at every opportunity.
He wants me out of NSP as soon as possible.
God knows why... He he he... :P

And so, I give my family a score of 4 out of 10.

-------------------------------------------

Finally, relationships...
Quite interesting year I should say...
I gained new friends in the office, and even
became close to some, and was able to share
personal matters and secrets to them, something new for me.

Marvin, Dennis, Nina, Donna,
Ben, Gloi, and Bert to name a few...
Their influences make my stay in
the workplace more enjoyable and worthwhile...
Thanks guys! :)

And of course... Jasmine... >:D< And the score... 10 of out 10. -------------------------------------------
Thinking about these things makes me wonder...
What's gonna happen, in two-oh-oh-seven? Happy New Year Everyone!!!
